John and Lorena Calvert of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a trip to Oakland, Md., for the day with their son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, followed by a dinner celebration.

Mr. and Mrs. Calvert were married October 15, 1965, in First Christian Church, Burgettstown.

They have one son, John (Denice) Calvert Jr. of Strabane.

Their grandchildren are Ashley, Meghan and Emily Calvert.

They have two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Calvert attends Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Calvert is a retired truck driver from Camalloy Inc. Both are loving parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
