William and Charlotte Allen of Washington recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

The couple are planning a trip to Cancun, Mexico, in the spring.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen were married October 2, 1965, in First United Presbyterian Church, Washington.

Their children are Eric (Burnadette) Allen of Canonsburg, Dena (Bill) Taufer of Washington and the late William Jr., whose wife, Lisa Allen, resides in Canonsburg.

Their grandchildren are Emily, Justin, Joseph and Jacob Allen, Mitchell, Morgan and Marissa Taufer and Isabelle and Caris Allen.

Mr. Allen is retired from Giant Eagle of Washington. He is a member of the Elks and Anawanna Club.

Mrs. Allen is employed by the Observer Publishing Co.
