Petronka – 50 years
John and Geri Petronka of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with family and friends during a surprise party given by their children August 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe.
Mr. and Mrs. Petronka were married September 26, 1965, in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Canonsburg.
Their children are Dr. Kathleen (Dr. Jeffrey) Hutton Klein of Newport Beach, Calif., Dr. Amy (John McIlwaine) Hutton of Boston, Mass., Sandra (George) Winter of Pittsburgh and Chris (Wendy) Petronka of Washington.
Their grandchildren are Ian, Luke, Dora, Paytra and Bram Klein, Sean and Conor McIlwaine and Isabela and Evan Petronka.
Mr. Petronka is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. He also worked for the North Franklin Police Department and was the former owner of Sentinel Security.
Mrs. Petronka is a retired tax collector who worked in the North Franklin Township/Trinity area.
Both are active with St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church.
