The South Strabane Township Police Department is trying to fill a police car with toys for children in the area who are less fortunate. The department will collect unwrapped, new toys from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday,in the Target parking lot, 335 Washington Road.

The Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society, 128 Pleasant St., Morgantown, will hold its annual holiday model railroad open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Amwell Township Historical Society will hold its annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Amwell Township Municipal Building. Meat, rolls and drink will be provided. Bring a covered dish or dessert. Gifts and games will be included.
