The Christian women’s quartet Shepherd’s Voice will present its annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Riverview Baptist Church, 405 Main Street (Rt. 88), New Eagle. Members include Mon Valley residents Debbie Harn, Connie Watkins, Linda Yohe and Debby Petrosky. This year’s musical guest is harpist Reagan Allen, an eighth-grade student at Ringgold Middle School. Admission is free but freewill offerings will be accepted.
West Newton Center for Active Adults will host a Christmas party Saturday. The party starts at 10 a.m. with games, prizes and a noon luncheon followed by entertainment by Cathy Rhodes at 1 p.m. Lunch will consist of pork chops, whipped potatoes, broccoli, rolls, beverage and apple pie. The Monessen/Rostraver Rotary is holding its annual Lottery Wreath Raffle. Members are selling tickets for $1,000 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets on one wreath and $500 worth of tickets on the second wreath. One ticket provides chances to win each wreath. Cost is $5 for one ticket or $10 for three tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Valley 1st Credit Union in Monessen or in the branch office in the Belle Vernon Walmart. The drawing will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Valley 1st Credit Union in Monessen. Proceeds benefit scholarships for local high school students.
