Section to include wider coverage
The Observer-Reporter strives to provide content that is relevant and engaging.
Through reader surveys and meetings with our advisory panel, we have found that the Community section is a much-read area. People want to be informed about what is going on in their communities and want to hear the “good news” from their neighbors, churches, schools and organizations.
To that end, starting in January, the Around the Area bulletin listing that has been featured in our religion pages will be discontinued and replaced with a “Faith, Friends and Family” feature that will include stories and photos from our places of worship, schools and communities.
So many people in our area are doing so much good. So many “ordinary” people lead extraordinary lives. We want to tell those stories.
We need your help to do this.
We want to know what is happening – the mission trips, the community projects, the philanthropic work, the creativity, and other stories that you think should be told.
Please continue to send in your special events – programs, dinners, fundraisers, etc. – for inclusion in our notices. We are happy to continue to run this information as a courtesy.
Photo submissions taken during special events are welcome. Please include a details about the event and identify those in the photo.
