Volunteer Connection
Did you know you can make an impact by helping someone an hour or two a week or a month? Faith in Action, one of TRPIL’s services, needs caring volunteers who are ready to assist senior citizens or individuals with disabilities who would like to remain independent. Some needs are:
- A Charleroi senior woman needs help with grocery shopping, dishes and laundry.
- A Wolfdale senior woman needs rides to the bank and grocery store.
- A Canonsburg senior woman needs someone to get her groceries.
- A Prosperity senior needs assistance filing medical and insurance papers and/or sorting through items he would like to sell online.
- A Washington senior woman with Parkinson’s needs someone to run errands and go to the grocery store.
- Volunteers to shovel snow for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities are needed on an “on call” basis when it snows throughout the county.
Contact Faith in Action by calling 724-223-5115 ext. 1203 for more details. The office is staffed part-time and will return messages. All volunteers are trained and screened.
