Women of Southwestern PA recently hosted their annual Grant Recipient Dinner at Valleybrook Country Club. This year, they awarded grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 to 33 organization for a total of $63,000. Over the years, they have awarded grants in excess of $500,000. In the first photo, Darlene Moore accepts a $2,500 check from organization President Kathy Kanotz for the Save A Horse Stable/Sanctuary. The stable used the funds to provide scholarships for victims of domestic violence and children with cognitive challenges. In the second photo, Joyce Ellis accepts a $2,500 check from Kanotz for the LeMoyne Community Center. Ellis used the funds to purchase supplies used in serving and delivering food. In the third photo, Clark Harrison, Cherie Sears and Ashley Roth accept a $2,500 check from Kanotz for Village of First Presbyterian Church in California. They used the funds to purchase STEM learning materials for the daycare center.
