St. Paul Lutheran Church, 775 N. Main St., Washington, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $8 for adults,$7 for seniors and $3 for children. Meal includes meatballs or sausage, salad, fresh bread and pie or cake. Takeout available.
Allegheny Health Network’s Canonsburg Hospital hosts its annual Halloween Trail from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the hospital’s outdoor trail. Children ages 12 and younger are invited to don their favorite costumes and trick or treat along the trail. With more than 20 stops along the way, kids will encounter “haunted hosts” from Canonsburg Hospital, as well as representatives from local businesses and the United States military, who will be distributing treats while decked out in some well-known Halloween costumes. The event is free, and complimentary parking is available. Treats, bags, and candy will be provided, and AHN also will be giving away fidget spinners. In the event of inclement weather, trail will be held indoors at Canonsburg Hospital.
Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society Inc. will celebrate Mountaineer Week with a three-day model railroad exhibit from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Shenandoah Room of West Virginia University’s Mountainlair. Taylorstown Christian Church, 32 Main St., will hold a family-style baked steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, beets, rolls and butter, assorted desserts and drinks. There will be an auction. Cost is $13 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Children 2 and younger are free. Takeout orders will be available.

Beallsville Civic Association will sponsor a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Beallsville Civic Center, 82 South St. Disc jockey Ralph Trilli of WJPA radio will spin tunes for line dancing, oldies and slow dancing. The event is BYOB. Sandwiches and baked goods will be available for purchase. Admission is $10. Proceeds benefit Beallsville Civic Association.
The Waynesburg University Department of Fine Arts will host a senior art exhibition for art major Laura Auten that opens with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. The exhibit runs until Nov. 17. Many of Auten’s pieces are of landscapes and portraits, with a mixture of both oil paintings and sketches. The gallery hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
