Monessen students recognized
Monessen/Rostraver Rotary’s February eighth-grade students of the month are Skyy Borinsky, left, and Jae’vier Ferguson.
In February and March, Monessen/Rostraver Rotary recognized eight students from the School District of the City of Monessen for their academic achievements and extracurricular activities. The February students included seniors Dana Vatakis and Antonio Rhome, and eighth-grade students Skyy Borinsky and Jae’vier Ferguson. In March, seniors Destiny Habeck and Nicholas Baker, and eighth-graders Kendelle Weston and Greg Adams were honored. The middle school and high school students attended the Rotary’s weekly meeting to accept their certificates and pens. During the meeting, each student briefly discussed their extracurricular activities and career goals with the Rotarians.
