Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington. The topic, “Plant Growth is going crazy at Greater Washington County Food Bank,” will address hydroponics, vertical gardens, the food bank’s new orchard, enclosed pods for food production and traditional farming. The Institute for Law and Public Policy at California University of Pennsylvania will present “Gerrymandering and Its Effect on American Politics” April 27 at California University’s Southpointe Center in Canonsburg. The featured speaker will be attorney Barbara J. Shah, one of the plaintiffs in a recent federal lawsuit.
