The Pittsburgh Historical Costume Society will present 18th Century Clothing from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Woodville Plantation, 1375 Washington Pike, Bridgeville. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The event is free to children 6 and younger. For more information, visit www.woodvilleplantation.org.

Monongahela Women’s Club will hold its annual Senior Girls’ Tea Friday at Monongahela Country Club. All Ringgold senior girls will be receiving an invitation from the club. This is the 79th year for the event.

A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Jefferson Community Center. Menu includes spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce, tossed salad, dessert and beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Takeout will be available. The fundraiser supports mission trips by area churches.

First United Methodist Church, Beau and College streets in Washington, will hold its annual flea market, lunch and bake sale Friday and Saturday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania’s 2018 Pittsburgh Annual Daffodil Show will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the ShadySide Academy Senior School Ice Rink, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh. Exhibitors can enter cut daffodil blooms from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday (recommended), or from 6 to 7:45 a.m. Saturday. Exhibitors need not be Daffodil and Hosta Society members. Charleroi Area Golden Age Trips 2018 meets at noon the first Thursday of the month, at the Charleroi American Legion. A $50 down payment is required for all trips, which include:

  • Atlantic City, June 12-15, with final payment due May 3
  • Greensburg Palace Theater to see “Atlantic City Boys” dinner and show, June 16, with final payment due May 3
  • ABBA at the Fine Art Center in Mentor, Ohio, July 14, with final payment due June 1
  • Washington, D.C. “Honoring God & Our Veterans,” Sept. 20-22, with final payment due Aug. 2
  • Carnival Pride 14-day Caribbean cruise, Nov. 4-18
  • New York Radio City Rockettes and Lancaster Millennium Theatre for “Life of Jesus,” Dec. 4-5, with final payment due Nov. 1.

The State of the Township Luncheon, a special event coordinated by the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Municipality of Peters Township and Peters Township School District, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 9 at Valley Brook Country Club, 425 Hidden Valley Road, McMurray. Paul Lauer, township manager, and Dr. Jeannine French, superintendent, will speak. Cost of the program and lunch is $35 per person. Register at ptcoc.org by May 4.

Washington County chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host a free genealogy workshop on May 5 at Frank Sarris Public Library, 35 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg. The workshop will begin at 1 p.m. with NSDAR-Pennsylvania Southwest District Director Ann Harder and her team of genealogy experts. Bring family tree documents and a laptop/tablet to get individual research support during the breakout session, which will continue until 4 p.m. To register, call 724-745-1308.

Monongahela Area Historical Society’s 5th Annual Stroll, Shop ‘N Win will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5 featuring a $500 cash prize. Tickets are $5; advance ticket sales are encouraged and are available at Angelo’s, Chamber, Chaney Wellness, Devore Hardware, Dierkens, Faiths Curiosity, LD House of Shaves, Little City Coffee, Main Street Barber Shop, Mon Valley Cycle, Peddlers Place, Rabes Trading Post, Sparkles by Shell, The Bar, The Twist or at the Historical Society Museum.
