If you can help someone an hour or two a week, or a month, your time can make an impact. Faith in Action, one of TRPIL’s services, needs caring volunteers to assist senior citizens or individuals with disabilities to remain independent. Some recent requests are:

• A Burgettstown senior couple needs help with getting meals from the senior center in Burgettstown weekly.
• A Prosperity man has a need for rides and assistance getting into an office in McMurray to receive radiation treatment. Rides are needed for three weeks, five days per week.
• A Cherry Valley/Burgettstown-area visually impaired senior woman needs someone to visit, read the Bible and/or go shopping with her.
• A Cokeburg senior woman who uses a walker would like someone to take her shopping during the daytime.
• A Monongahela senior woman who loves animals would like a friendly visitor once a week to talk to.
• On-call drivers or escorts to take seniors or individuals with disabilities shopping or to appointments are always needed.

The office is staffed part-time. Someone will call you back. All volunteers are trained and screened.
