Spirits in the Garden returns
The Washington County Historical Society will host the Second Annual Spirits in the Garden from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday.
The event, to be held in Madeleine’s Garden at the LeMoyne House, 49 E. Maiden St., Washington, will combine distilled spirits with the spirits of Washington County’s past. Hosted by “Madeleine LeMoyne Reed,” called the First Lady of Washington, the event will feature interpreters including Madeleine, Dr. Francis J. LeMoyne, Robert Reed and Earle Forrest. Guests can interact with the interpreters throughout the night.
Local distilleries, wineries and breweries will provide samples and sell drinks. Participating are Liberty Pole Spirits, Red Pump Distillery, Whitehorse Brewing at The Street, Washington Winery, Washington Brewing Company, Country Hammer Moonshine and J&D Cellars.
Admission is $40 and ID is required for entry. Tickets include tastings, hors d’ouevres and entertainment. Street parking is free on weekends.
