Praise and worship meeting planned
The Monongahela chapter of The Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship of Come Together in Jesus Name will hold its monthly meeting of praise and worship in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, located at the corner of Sixth, Main and Chess streets, on Thursday with Karen Graham ministering. There will be refreshments and fellowship at 6:30?p.m. with the meeting starting at 7. There is no charge; a free-will offering will be taken. Enter the church from the Chess Street side.
Pastor Karen is the founder of Kingdom Come Ministries International Inc., of Apollo. She is ordained through Greater Works in Monroeville.
She is currently on staff as a teacher at Greater Works Bible School and serves on the leadership team of the Women’s Ministry known as “The Deborah Company.”

9/11 service to honor law enforcement
A 9/11 service honoring all law enforcement, including wounded and retired police and correction officers, will be held at 6?p.m. Sept. 11 at the Veterans Memorial Site in Eldersville on Cedar Grove Road. If planning to attend, call Diane at 724-947-9782.
There will be therapy dogs from Animals Friends, Pittsburgh, and state Sen. Camera Bartolotta will speak. There will be refreshments after the service in the White Church on Fire Road behind the memorial site. In case of rain, the service will be held in the White Church.
East View church alters service times
Throckmorton United Methodist Church in East View will change its Sunday morning services to 7?p.m. each Sunday beginning Sept. 2. Services will be casual, featuring southern Gospel music.
