Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is selling Italian hoagies at a cost of $4 each. Order deadline is Thursday, Sept. 6. Orders will be available for pick up until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the fire hall located at 154 Main Street. To place an order, call 724-663-7353.

The Pittsburgh Chinese Academy (PCA) offers Mandarin Chinese lessons and Chinese culture classes. Class sizes are small and are led by experienced Mandarin speaking teachers. All students are welcome, whether or not families speak Chinese at home. PCA is located at Center Presbyterian Church, 255 Center Church Road in McMurray. Fall classes start on Sunday, Sept. 9 with culture classes held from 2 to 3 p.m. and language classes set from 3 to 4:30. Students are welcome to try out a class or two free of charge, with no commitment. Peters Township Parks and Recreation will present the Abbey Players youth theater group’s production of “Cinderella” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Peterswood Park Amphitheater.

Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, in the township building. The executive board will meet at 6:15. Amy Ross Manko will present the discovery of Leicester Longwood Sheep, raised by Washington and Jefferson and prized for its wool.

AFSCME Retiree Local 8402 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Frank Sarris Public Library in Canonsburg.

The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2999 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park. The West End Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the hall at West Washington United Methodist Church.

Professional Pittsburgh photographer JP Diroll will be the guest speaker at the 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 meeting of the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera Club. The meeting will be held in the community room located in the rear of the Peters Township police station, across from the library. Volunteers are needed for Peters Township Haunted Trail XIX and Haunted Trail for Kids. Volunteers must be 13 or older. Needed are storytellers (high school through adult) to lead groups through the trail while narrating the story line, and scene actors to act out a scene on the trail.
