Slots revenue up slightly at Meadows, statewide

Gross revenue from slot machine play at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos last month rose 0.96 of a percentage point from November 2018, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Monday.
The Meadows Casino likewise posted a marginal year-over-year increase – 0.66 percent. The North Strabane Township facility had $16,183,639.67 in revenue last month, up from $16,076,981.99 the previous November.
Gross revenue statewide was $183,069,176.86 in November, nearly $1.7 million above $181,329,655.27. Revenue declined at seven casinos.
Rivers Casino, on Pittsburgh’s North Side, posted an 8.08 percent gain ($22,650,423.43 from $20,957,992.31). Percentage-wise, that was the third-largest increase among the five casinos that registered increases.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, in Fayette County, experienced about a $1 million decrease – $2,070,041.94 from $2,123,505.46, or 2.52 percent.
Slots play last month resulted in $95,362,840 in tax revenue.
An average of 25,316 slot machines operated statewide in November, 511 fewer than a year earlier.
