The New Year will bring a new general manager at Meadows Racetrack & Casino.

Tony Frabbiele will assume that position after Jan. 1, succeeding Allie Evangelista, who has worked at the entertainment complex since November 2016.

Penn National Gaming, owner of the Meadows, announced the moves Tuesday.

Actually, the two will be switching GM jobs. Frabbiele will be coming to the North Strabane Township facility from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course – outside Youngstown, Ohio – where Evangelista will go after Jan. 1.

Both moves are subject to final approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Frabbiele, who has been in the gaming industry since 1997, has been Mahoning Valley’s GM since May 2017. Evangelista was initially vice president of gaming operations at The Meadows before being appointed GM in August 2017.

Eric Schippers, spokesman for Penn National Gaming, said in an email that the company rotates GMs “from time to time to give them a fresh look.”

Penn National, of Wyomissing, took over ownership from Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. in March, in a deal valued at $2.8 billion in cash and stock.
