A blood drive will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at American Legion James Farrell Post 330, James Farrell Room, 676 East High Street, Waynesburg. Those donating blood between Dec. 20 and Jan 6 will receive a free long-sleeved Red Cross t-shirt, while supplies last. The Bible Chapel, McMurray, will hold a Special Needs Day Camp from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday, Dec. 27 and 28, for individuals with special needs ages 15 and younger. Siblings may attend or volunteer. A snack will be provided. Register at biblechapel.org/connect/special-needs.
Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church will hold a Living Nativity from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the church located at 210 Main Street. The Christmas story comes to life at this outdoor event featuring live characters and animals, Christmas carols, hot cocoa and cookies. The Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society’s Annual Holiday Model Railroad Open House will be held Dec. 15 and 16, at 128 Pleasant Street in Morgantown. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. The event will include videos, and baked goods, coffee and other refreshments will be sold. There will be a white elephant table with model railroad items for sale, along with an auction offering three different prizes. The First Christian Church of Charleroi will host the annual Community Christmas Cantata at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the church located at 61 Walnut Ridge Road.
