Peters Township Recreation Center will offer the following classes and programs in January: Mad Science: Birds & Beasts, 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 8-29, for ages 2-6; Kids Rec, 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 18, for ages 6-10; Homework Help, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays, for ages 6-18; Seniors Lunch, noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 9. Lungs at Work, a nonprofit federal black lung clinic in McMurray, will sponsor an outreach event from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at the United Mine Workers of America Local 1197 office, 20 N.
