Friday Faith Café, at 625 Fayette Street in Washington’s West End, presents Dan Cunningham, singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist from Morgantown, W.Va., from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Doors open at 6:30. Cunningham, whose Christian musical roots run deep, incorporates the essential simplicity of the rural mountains, influenced by the story-telling folk tradition, into his “New Appalachian” music.
