The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation is calling for entries for its 30th annual Robert L. Vann Media Awards, which will recognize professional excellence in print, photography, broadcast and online coverage of African-American and African Diaspora communities, individuals and issues of Western Pennsylvania. The entry deadline for the professional contest is 11:59 p.m. Feb. 21. All entries must have been published, posted online, or broadcast in 2017. Rules and instructions for entering the contest – open to all news professionals in 29 counties of Western Pennsylvania – are available at www.pbmf.org.
