Boy Scouts of America’s General Greene District first aid competition was held Jan. 27 at Waynesburg College. During the annual event, Scouts test their first aid knowledge in 10 scenarios. This year, Scouts had assistance from makeup artists from Douglas Education Center and judges and support from Rices Landing VFD, Clarksville VFD, Stat MedEvac and EMS Southwest. Troops competing included Troop 1005 Washington, Troop 1031 Claysville, Troop 1280 Waynesburg, Troop 1262 Carmichaels, Troop 1168 Rices Landing and Troop 1600 Graysville. Cub Scouts in fourth and fifth grades, Webelos, participated in a first aid training and Girl Scout Troop 51255 from Claysville was also present.
