The Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation and the WHS-Greene hospital auxiliary have awarded $1,000 scholarships to help Waynesburg University students.

Pictured, from left, are foundation Executive Director Dave Jones, Waynesburg University assistant dean of students Kelley Hardie, scholarship recipients Emily Ozohnish of Clarksville and Hannah Widdup of Waynesburg, along with auxiliary President John Mariner.

Each recipient is a full-time student at the university, majoring in a health care related field and maintains a strong grade-point average. They performed a minimum of 50 hours during the fall working with the auxiliary in either the hospital as an escort or at the Cherry Door, and their goal is to continue their work this semester as well.
