Austin Armstrong, son of Michelle and Scott Armstrong of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at Gannon University. An entrepreneurship and finance major, he is a member of the Gannon Soccer Team, Small Business Development Club & Investment Club, and a Scholar Athlete for the spring semester. Austin is a 2017 graduate of Trinity High School.

Kraig Davis, son of Richard and Cindy Davis of Rices Landing, graduated with honors, summa cum laude, from Kenyon College, with a degree in modern languages and literatures. He was awarded the Sigrid Lanzrath Memorial Prize and Fulbright Fellowship to Germany. Kraig is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Chapter of Ohio. A 2014 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, he is the grandson of Irmhild and the late Harold Davis of Jefferson, and Dale and Sharon Whitmer of Amity.

Tyler J. Hoyle of Waynesburg received an associate’s degree in welding and fabrication from Triangle Tech, Pittsburgh. He achieved dean’s list status throughout the course.

Stephen Rydzak, son of Deborah and Joseph Rydzak of Washington, was named to both the fall and spring dean’s lists at Washington & Jefferson College. A business administration/marketing major, he is a member of the Delta Phi Alpha German Honor Society and a 2017 graduate of Trinity High School.

Elisabeth Throckmorton, daughter of Jill and Rob Throckmorton of McMurray, was named to the spring dean’s list at Kent State University. This is Elisabeth’s fourth consecutive semester on the dean’s list, with a 3.8 GPA. A sophomore nursing major, she is a member of the Student Nurses’ Association and a 2016 graduate of Peters Township High School. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Gary and Carolyn Blackhurst, and Bob and Ginger Throckmorton, all of Washington.
