“Learn To Save a Life: Overdose Prevention 101” will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in Monessen High School, 1245 State Road.

Open to the public, the program will provide naloxone (Narcan) and overdose prevention training for Mon Valley residents who live in Washington, Westmoreland or Fayette counties.

The training will include:

• Ways to reduce the risk of an accidental overdose

• How to identify symptoms of an overdose

• What to do and not to do if you are present when a person overdoses

• How to administer Naloxone (Narcan)

• How Pennsylvania’s Good Samaritan law affects you if you witness an OD

A limited amount of naloxone will be available to individuals who are in need of a take home supply.
