Katelyn Cerciello, daughter of Richard and Melissa Cerciello of McDonald, was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College. Katelyn will graduate next year with a double major in environmental studies and biology. She currently interns with the PA Game Commission and North Fayette Township. Katelyn is the granddaughter of Robert Wilbert of McDonald, Susan Federouch of Pittsburgh, Margaret Alston of McDonald and Noel Cerciello, also of McDonald.
Austin Fitch of McDonald and Kalie Conner of Washington, both students in Community College of Allegheny County’s Mechatronics Technology program at West Hills Center, were awarded $4,000 each in merit scholarships from PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (formerly Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute). The scholarships were announced following the PACK EXPO East trade show held in April, a biennial three-day event produced by PMMI. To be considered for the PACK EXPO scholarship, students must attend a PMMI partner school, have at least one semester remaining in their college career and hold a minimum 3.0 GPA.
