Volunteer connection
Can you help someone an hour or two a week, or a month? Faith in Action, one of TRPIL’s services, needs caring volunteers to assist senior citizens or individuals with disabilities to remain independent. Some recent requests are:
- North Charleroi senior moving to McDonald needs help unpacking around June 8.
- Washington woman with hearing loss, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia needs rides to the store and appointments.
- Washington senior man with lupus needs help with rides to grocery store and errands.
- Washington senior veteran needs rides and escort assistance to his appointments. His walker will fit in a car, or he can ride Freedom Transit with an escort to accompany him.
- West Alexander senior needs rides to and from Washington Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for dialysis for four hours. The family will pay for gas.
- Claysville/West Alex couple needs help with caregiver relief on an occasional basis. The wife is providing 24/7 care for her husband and needs a break to handle some personal needs.
