Jessica M. Fike of Washington received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 2005, Fike earned a bachelor’s of arts in film studies and music from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a 2001 graduate of Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy in Wheeling, W.Va. After graduation, Fike will begin a residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She is the daughter of Mary and John Fike of Eighty Four.
Alexas Iams, daughter of Jana and Todd Iams of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College. A math major, she is a 2017 graduate of Washington High School.
Ashlee Molla, daughter of Raymond and Vicki Molla of Washington, graduated from Salem State University in Salem, Mass., with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology. She achieved dean’s list status. Ashlee has accepted an internship at the Boston Zoo through August. She is a 2009 graduate of Trinity High School.
Bryce Daniel Roscoe, son of Daniel and Mary Beth Roscoe of Washington, received the Campus Honors Certificate of “Sustained Dedication to Honors Study” at Pennsylvania State University.
Brooke Scarfo, daughter of Shannon and Rob Scarfo of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. An accounting major, she is a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society and a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.
Rebecca Turney, daughter of Bill and Lori Turney of North Strabane and a 2016 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 winter semester at Eastern Michigan University. She is pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing, with plans to become a nurse anesthetist.
Alena Weldy, daughter of Kathryn Weldy, DPM, and Charles Weldy, DPM, of Canonsburg, graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a masters degree in medical studies. She earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and criminal justice from Lake Erie College in 2016. She recently passed her certifying boards and is now a certified physician assistant. Alena is a 2008 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
