The 11th Annual Carnegie Volunteer Fire Department 5K Run/Walk will be held at 8 a.m. April 28 at the Carnegie Borough Municipal Building, One Veterans Way. Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation will participate in the Keep PA Beautiful – Great PA Clean Up from 10 a.m. to noon on April 7 at Mingo Creek County Park and Cross Creek County Park. The groups will meet at Mingo – Shelter 4, and Cross Creek – Shelter 3 (Route 50 side). Trash bags and gloves will be provided, plus a grilled hot dog and bottle of water afterward for those participating. Dress appropriately for the weather and light hiking. Monongahela Women’s Club Ladies’ Day Out will be held from noon to 4 p.m. April 8 at Rippels on the Creek event venue, 807 Dry Run Road, Monongahela. The event is a craft and vendor show. A light buffet is included in the ticket price, along with auction tickets and door prizes. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Elizabeth Seton and Seton-La Salle high schools will celebrate the 11th annual Women of Seton Legacy Scholarship Fund Luncheon at 1 p.m. April 15 at Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South, Bethel Park. First Church of God, 157 N. Second Street, West Newton, will hold a one-day bus trip April 20 to Lancaster to see “Jesus.” The bus will depart at 8 a.m. from the West Newton Fireman’s Lot on Riverview Drive. Lunch will be at 1 p.m. at Hershey Farms Restaurant followed by the show at 3. Cost of $135 includes bus, driver tip, lunch and show. Seating is limited.
