At Calvary Baptist Church, 1701 Ridgewood Drive, Washington, a Good Friday service will be offered at 7 p.m. “Why Is Good Friday Good? ” will include drama, music and meditation. On Easter Sunday, April 1, there will be a Sunrise Service by teens at 7 a.m. Breakfast and egg hunt will follow at 7:45. Sunday school for all ages will be held at 9:30, and a Resurrection Celebration with music by the adult choir, mixed quartet and worship team will be held at 11. For information, call 724-222-2524.

At Grace United Methodist Church, 420 California Drive, Coal Center, “The Last Supper,” a dramatic presentation of the last supper of Jesus and His disciples as told through word and song, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. For information, call 724-330-5350.

John Wesley United Methodist Church will host a Cross Walk on Friday. The walk will commence at Friendship Baptist Church on Walnut Street in Washington. It will continue throughout the Highland Ridge area churches and end at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 35 Central Avenue, Washington. At that time, a Good Friday service will be offered. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Those not wanting to walk should meet at John Wesley U.M. Church by noon.

At Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church, holding services in the Parish Hall at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia, Holy Week services will include a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., and an Easter Sunday service at 11 a.m. An Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt will take place before the Sunday service, at 9:45 a.m. For information, visit www.peterscreekchurch.org.

At St. Paul Baptist Church, 49 South McKean Avenue, Donora, Easter week services will include a movie night for children and adults on Good Friday. “The Case for Christ ” and “The Shack” will be shown with a children’s movie being shown in the power vestibule. Refreshments will be served prior to movie start. On Easter Sunday, April 1, the children and youth of the church will do recitations, readings and the skit “The Empty Tomb” during the 1O a.m. service. Easter treat bags will be passed out after the 11 a.m. service. For information, call 724-379-5838.

At Union Valley United Methodist Church, Graysville, the annual Easter Sunrise service will be held at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 1. The choir will present the Easter message in song, followed by breakfast with Communion around the table.
