PA Miss agriculture pageant planned
The first Pennsylvania Miss United States Agriculture pageant will be held April 14 in Huntington Area High School. This year, 54 young ladies representing 28 counties will compete for the Pennsylvania Miss United States Agriculture state titles in ten age divisions: Baby Miss 0-23 months, Tiny Miss 2-3, Future Little Miss 4-5, Little Miss 6-7, Petite Miss 8-10, Junior Miss 11-13, Teen Miss 14-16, Miss 17-21, Ms. 22-30 (unmarried) and Mrs. 22-30 (married). Areas of competition vary by age but include introduction, interview, on-stage question, formal wear, state fun fashion, photogenic and essay.
Pennsylvania Miss United States Agriculture state winners will advance to compete and represent Pennsylvania at the National Miss United States Agriculture pageant in Birmingham, Ala., on June 23 for the National title in each division.
The state competition will begin at 8 a.m. with personal interviews. Onstage competition will begin at 11:30 and is open to the public. Admission price is $5. Commodity and fair queens are invited to attend as special guests but are asked to RSVP by April 12 to PAMissUitedStatesAgriculture@gmail.com. Special guests are welcome all day but should arrive by 3:45 p.m. to be introduced before the crowning ceremonies begin at 4.
