James and Susanna Caldwell of Bethany, W.Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 28, 2017, at the Ramada Inn in Washington, with family and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell were married on October 7, 1967, at North Buffalo Presbyterian Church by Rev. John Mark Scott.

They have three children, Beverly (Eric) Kosmach of South Park, Richard Caldwell of Bethany, W.Va., and John Caldwell of Columbus, Ohio.

Their grandchildren are Joshua and Isaac Kosmach.

Mr. Caldwell graduated from West Alexander High School and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was stationed in South Korea for one year. He is a retired dairy farmer who still herds his sheep and cows in his gator.

Mrs. Caldwell is a graduate of McGuffey High School and Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing. She is a former registered nurse and homemaker.

Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell are active members of Grove U.P. Church in West Middletown and the West Virginia Soil Conservation Association.
