DAR recognizes four Greene County students

The John Corbly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recognized four students for its Good Citizens Award during a banquet lunch March 17 at the Hartley Inn in Carmichaels. The high school seniors were chosen by their schools for their dependability, community service, leadership and patriotism. Regent Brenda Guthrie and Chairperson Charlene Shuckhart presented each student a certificate, wallet card and pin.

Madison Elizabeth Church of Waynesburg Central High School, the daughter of William and Christine Church of Waynesburg, is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Varsity Club, FCA, Leo Club, SADD, Alpha/Beta and has lettered in volleyball and softball.

Madison Clayton of Jefferson-Morgan High School, the daughter of Jason and Julie Clayton of Waynesburg, is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Leo Club, Foreign Language Club, SADD, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and named three times to the All-WPIAL soccer team.

Machesky

Bailey Machesky of West Greene High School, the daughter of Brian Machesky of Waynesburg, is a member of the National Honor Society, peer mentoring, student government, Science Club, International Club and has lettered in track and field and volleyball, while also being named to the all-county volleyball team.

Pilar Randolph of Carmichaels Area High School, the daughter of Robert and Amy Randolph, is a member of the National Honor Society, Academic League, French Club, Chemistry Cub, high school marching band, high school choir, Senior Standing Committee and editor of the school newspaper.
