Girl Scouts open registration for pre-K girls
Girls entering kindergarten in the fall are invited to join Girl Scouts by participating in an early-registration program with Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania. By becoming an early member of the council, these girls will be a part of the Sprouts Program though the summer until they begin kindergarten and officially become a Daisy Girl Scout.
While earning their first patch, girls will partake in age-appropriate, engaging activities that focus on understanding the mission of Girl Scouts – building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place – by encouraging helpfulness, honesty, sharing and kindness.
As official members of Girl Scouts, those who join the Sprouts Program will also be able to make the most of special discount rates for GSWPA events throughout the summer, including Girl Scout Day with the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park and a day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. Other opportunities include participating in the GSWPA Get Outdoors Challenge and National S’mores Day celebrations.
