Jefferson-Morgan Lions name students of the month

The Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club has announced their students of the month for April and May.

Rain Judy

April student of the month, Rain Judy, is the daughter of Amanda Tustin and Adam Theys of Jefferson. A senior at Jefferson-Morgan, she maintains a 3.43 GPA, is recognized as a Remarkable Rocket and has her OSHA card. Rain volunteers at Pittsburgh Project, carols to the elderly with her church during the holiday season and started the anti-cyberbullying group Got-SWAT. She plans to study robotic engineering at California University of Pennsylvania.

Katelyn Wolfe

Katelyn Wolfe, May’s student of the month, is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan with a 3.6 GPA. She is the daughter of Shara Dorsey of Rices Landing and Leo Wolfe of Jefferson. Katelyn is the president of the class of 2018, and she was the captain of both the volleyball and basketball teams. She also played on the all-county team for both sports. Katelyn participates in Foreign Language Club, Art Club, Leo Club and Upward Bound. She volunteers at Rolling Meadows, participates in the backpack program, fundraises through student council and places flags on graves. In the fall, she plans to attend Waynesburg University to study biology, with the intent to enter the pre-med program.
