West Newton Library will hold a stuffed pork chop dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, at Gary’s Chuck Wagon, 109 S. Second St.t, West Newton. The menu includes stuffed pork chop, potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, drinks and dessert. Tickets are $12 and are available at the library, located at 124 N. Water Street, during library hours – noon to 5 p.m. Monday and Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday – or at Gary’s Chuck Wagon.

There will be a shoe collection from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak View Methodist Church, 160 Meadows Road, Waynesburg. The church is collecting any pairs of shoes or boots, no matter the condition, that will be able to be recycled or reused. For more information, call Nicki at 724-883-4020.

Dress For Success Pittsburgh’s Semi-Annual Fill-A-Bag Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and June 6 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Venue 54, 54 W. Wheeling St., Washington. New and gently used brand name clothing and accessories will be available. For a $15 donation, a large bag will be provided and can be filled by shoppers. Specialty items will be priced separately. An electronics show will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Guesman Room at WHS Greene, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 6 and 7 in the community rRoom of the Washington Hospital. There will be computers, gaming consoles, TVs, cameras, tablets, watches and more for sale. In addition, a Masquerade $5 jewelry and accessory sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 11 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12 in the community room of the Washington Hospital. The shows are sponsored by the hospitals’ auxiliaries.

LifeSpan Mon Valley Center will offer “Learn with Lou’s” art class from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 5 and 19. For information, visit www.lifespanpa.org.

A blood drive will be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m. June 6 at St. Francis of Assisi’s Finley Hall, 3609 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is selling Italian hoagies for $4 each. Order deadline is June 6. Orders will be available for pickup until 1 p.m. June 12 at the fire hall, located at 154 Main Street. To place an order, call 724-663-7353.

Family Hospice and Palliative Care offers Camp Healing Hearts, a free one-day bereavement camp for grieving children and their family members, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 30 at Carlow University. Staffed by licensed professionals from Family Hospice and trained volunteers, this free camp is offered for children ages 6-12 and their parents/guardians who have experienced the death of a loved one. A continental breakfast and lunch are included. Children will participate in structured activities including art, memory boxes, movement, music and pet therapy, as they learn healthy ways to grieve. Preregistration is required. Applications must be completed by June 15. Citizen’s Library 2018 Summer Sampler (aka Wine Tasting) will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 15 at the library, located at 55 S. College St., Washington. The event, catered by Angelo’s with music by Dan Baker, will feature three wineries, two distilleries and one microbrewery. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
