Mapletown to hold commencement ceremony Friday
Mapletown High School will hold graduation ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday in the school’s gymnasium for 46 seniors.
Valedictorians are Makenzie Cree and Dylan Rush and salutatorian is Leigh Goforth.
Cree is the daughter of Jeff and Marsha Cree of Garards Fort. She is a member of the volleyball team, cheerleading, softball team, student council, Students Against Destructive Decisions, the Future is Mine, National Honor Society, Envirothon and Interact club. She plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania and major in biology.
Rush is the son of Jenny Rush of Greensboro and Jeff Rush of Uniontown. He is a member of the football and baseball teams. Dylan is also a member of the Future is Mine and the National Honor Society. He plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania and major in education.
Goforth is the daughter of Cheryl and James Goforth of Bobtown.
She is a member of the academic league, band, chorus, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Future Business Leaders of America. She plans are to attend college and major in journalism.
