Real estate team finds new home in South Strabane

The Crumrine/Nicholls real estate team is not breaking up, but heading in a new direction professionally and geographically.
Barry Crumrine and Jamie Nicholls have left Re/Max Community Real Estate to start their own independent company – Park Place Realty Group.
“We do it all,” Crumrine said of the team’s planned portfolio of work, which will include residential and commercial real estate and farms.
He and Nicholls have worked together at several Washington area venues. are relocating northward, to 1120 Washington Road in South Strabane Township. They will lease the building that previously housed Steel Nation.
Steel Nation, provider of solutions for oil and gas construction projects throughout the Marcellus, Utica and other North American shale plays, moved to Southpointe recently.
Nicholls and Crumrine have been co-workers for 10 years split between two companies. They are now adding a third member, Gina Berardinelli, their broker. Park Place Realty Group also will have a settlement company.
Crumrine, a former coal mining employee who lives in Canonsburg, said he likes the new location and the potential it provides. “About 22,000 cars a day” pass their future building, which is being renovated.
Nicholls and Berardinelli reside in Scenery Hill.
Gas pipeline work
Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania may need another three months to complete a gas pipeline replacement project in Washington. But the work eventually should pay off in enhanced service for those who live or commute along Allison and Woodland avenues.
The company recently began to replace more than 3,300 feet of underground pipe along those streets. Columbia said the project is expected to continue through February, weather permitting. The regular work schedule is 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work possible. There also may be temporary lane closures.
Mylan responds to FDA warning
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning letter Nov. 9 to Mylan N.V., related to its manufacturing facility in Morgantown, W.Va. The letter is a follow-up to observations the FDA made of the plant in April.
The generic pharmaceutical giant, whose administrative headquarters are in Southpointe II, responded to the letter last week. It reads in part:
“As discussed in our second- and third-quarter earnings calls, we have implemented a comprehensive restructuring and remediation plan at our Morgantown facility. These activities are already reflected in our 2018 outlook, and the issues raised (in the letter) are being addressed within the context of this plan …
“The Morgantown facility continues to supply products for the U.S. market while we are executing on our commitments to FDA. We did not expect to have any significant new product launches from the site in 2019. As part of the ongoing restructuring and remediation activities, Mylan has proactively discontinued a number of products from the site while also transferring some products to other sites.”
