Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church will hold a ham loaf luncheon and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Fellowship Hall located at 112 West Pike Street. The menu will include salad, parsley potatoes, green beans, slice of ham loaf, spiced fruit, rolls and apple cobbler cupcakes with pumpkin pie frosting. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Canonsburg-Houston Ministerial Association Toy Chest to purchase new books at Christmas for children in need. Dine in and takeout will be available. The Wedding Cookie College will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Doubletree by Hilton Meadowlands. The event will include demonstrations, a wedding cookie table, recipe exchange and surprises. Cost is $25 per person, advance registration only with limited seating through Eventbrite (a limited number of veterans can attend for free). Twenty-five tickets will be held for those who prefer to mail a $25 check to: MAHS, 826 Lawrence St., Monongahela, PA 15063. The Peters Township Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will hold a drug take back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the following locations: Rite Aid Pharmacy, Giant Eagle and Heisler’s Market, all in McMurray, and The Country Store in Venetia. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Carmichaels VFW Auxiliary Post 3491 will host a holiday vendor show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov 3. There will be an auction, 50/50 raffle, food and drink sales and a membership drive. Proceeds benefit veterans and kids.

Franklin United Methodist Church located at 1231 Washington Pike, State Route 27 in Wellsburg, W.Va., will hold its 42nd Annual Fall Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. There will be a variety of crafts, used books and food for purchase.
