Chartiers Township Community Center will hold a drop-in line dancing class from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10. No registration is necessary. Practice old dances and learn new steps including country, Latin, oldies, soul and contemporary. A new six-week session begins Wednesday, April 17. Cost is $30 for six classes; drop ins during the six-week session pay $8. Beginners and experienced dancers welcome. Peters Township Parks and Recreation offers senior lunches from noon to 2 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month, at the Community Recreation Center in Peterswood Park. Lunches include entertainment, a speaker or interactive activity. This is a free event, but attendees are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert to share. On April 10 there will be a springtime craft and bingo.
Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera Club will meet at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Peters Township Public Library in McMurray. Photographer Anita J. Luellen of Ohio will be the guest speaker. She will set up two tabletop displays for demonstration and use by club member to photograph with their own cameras.

Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church located on Buffalo Road South in Hopewell Township (Washington) will hold a free community lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10.
The music duo Simple Gifts will perform at the Independence Township Community Center, 11 School Court, Avella, on April 10 and 11, with programs for everyone. Simple Gifts members play an impressive array of instruments, including violin, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, recorders and banjo, presenting a wide variety of ethnic folk music. The program includes a ukelele workshop (2 to 5 p.m. April 10, a musicians workshop (7 to 9 p.m. April 10, a children’s concert (10 to 11 a.m. April 11) and the concert finale (7 p.m. April 11).
