Variety – The Children’s Charity and Intermediate Unit 1 partnered April 9 to present life-changing equipment to local children with disabilities. Variety presented five adaptive bikes, two adaptive strollers and eight communication devices worth $21,600 during the April 9 presentation at the IU. Variety launched its “My Bike” Program in November 2012 to assist with the mobility needs of children with disabilities. Since the organization’s inception, more than 2,500 adaptive bikes, adaptive strollers and communication devices have been sponsored for eligible kids throughout Variety’s 54-county service area in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
