West Greene Lions Outstanding Student – McKenna Lampe
West Greene Area Lions Club has named McKenna Lampe an Outstanding Student. The daughter of John and Stephanie Lampe of Rutan is a member of the Science Club and National Honors Society. She is a four-year captain and letterman of XC, softball and basketball. Other achievements include: 1,000 Point Club, 2017 co-player of the year, 4-time XC state qualifier, 4-time WPIAL baskeball qualifier, 4-time WPIAL softball qualifier, 4-time state softball qualifier and 3-time state basketball qualifier. Volunteer activities include: 10 hours of coaching Little League softball, 20 hours of coaching Little League basketball and helping out at the Moose Club for its bingo fundraiser and steak dinner. She is also a blood drive volunteer. McKenna plans to attend Carlow University to major in nursing. She also plans to play softball and become a member of ROTC at Carlow. McKenna hopes to pursue a career in the Army or as a nurse.
