‘I Ought to be in Pictures’

Old Schoolhouse Players kicks off its 2019 season with Neil Simon’s “I Ought to be in Pictures.” The play opens Friday, Feb. 22, for a two-week run in the Bud Allison Memorial Auditorium at the Mt. Pleasant Twp. Community Center. The three-person play revolves around Libby Tucker, who shows up at the West Hollywood home of her father, struggling screenwriter Herbert Tucker, who abandoned his New York family 16 years earlier. Using guilt and love, Libby convinces her father to face his parental responsibilities and come to terms with his girlfriend, Steffy. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Feb 22-23 and March 1-2, and at 3 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 24 and March 3. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $10 for children12 and under.
