Peters Township Recreation Center will offer the following preschool and youth events: Love Bugs Preschool Program, Thursday, Feb. 14, with registration due by Feb. 12; Jr. Chemists, Wednesdays, Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27; Mad Science: Polymer Playground, Monday, Feb. 18. The 41st Annual Peters Township Community Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, at Peterswood Park. Vendor applications will be sent out in March. To be added to the mailing list, email ltaylor@peterstownship.com.

Peters Township Recreation Center will hold Tween Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8. Socialize, play games, make a craft and enjoy snacks. The event will be chaperoned. Cost is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Preregistration is required by calling 724-942-5000 by March 7.

The Jefferson United Methodist Church, 190 N. Washington St., will hold a ham and scalloped potato dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in the Jefferson Community Center at 190 Jefferson Road. The menu will also include lima beans, candied carrots, coleslaw, rolls, desserts and beverages. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Take-out will be available.

The monthly meeting of the Mon Valley Coin Club will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at 303 Chamber Plaza in Charleroi. This month’s program will be on Liberty Walking half dollars. A 50/50 will be held and prizes will be awarded for children. Applications are now being accepted for membership. For information, call 724-984-6611.
