Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church located at 25 Church Lane in Prosperity will hold An Evening of Bluegrass and Pie at 7 p.m. Friday. Crandall Creek will perform. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $15 for ages 13 and up and $10 for ages 6-12, and will be available at the door. Children ages 5 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the church Mission Fund.

The next community dinner at Rogersville United Methodist Church will be held on Friday in Fellowship Hall. Dinners, held the last Friday of each month, are free but donations are accepted. Carryout is available. For information, call 724-499-5159 or 724-499-5385.

Fix ‘Ur Cat will hold “The Final Word” Game Night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at its headquarters, 18 W. Pike St. in Canonsburg. Play begins at 7. Learn the many ways to play this game with its creator. The event is BYOB; take-out food will be available or bring your own. Card decks will be provided or bring your own. Recommended donation is $3 per player to benefit Fix ‘Ur Cat. The Monessen/Rostraver and Belle Vernon Area rotary clubs will sponsor an oldies dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Rostraver Central Fire Hall. Doors open at 6. Disc jockey is DJ Trilli. The event will include raffles ranging from a 50/50 to a “winner-take-all home entertainment table” complete with large-screen television, dozens of bottles of wine and liquor, cases of beer, snacks and more. Tickets are $15 per person or $30 per couple and include beer, snacks, a nacho bar and ice. BYOB – bottles, mixers and snacks. Proceeds benefit rotary community projects. Peters Township High School National Honor Society’s 13th Annual Volleyball Tournament to benefit the Make-A-Wish Scholarship Fund will take place from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the high school gym. Each school in the district will organize a faculty team that will compete against each other to be crowned the ultimate champion. Hot dogs, nachos, soda, candy and baked goods will be available. Admission is $5. Advanced tickets will be available beginning Jan. 29. Contact any of the schools for details. Tickets will also be sold at the door the evening of the event.

The Pittsburgh Chinese Academy of the South Hills will hold its annual Chinese New Year Celebration Feb. 10 at Center Presbyterian Church, 255 Center Church Road, McMurray. Mezzo soprano Danyu Xia and PCA students will perform at 2 p.m. A dinner, games and raffles will follow. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids and can be purchased at the door or ordered in advance by emailing principal@pittsburghchineseacademy.org.

West Newton Senior Center located at 103 E. Main Street will hold Coffee and Canvas from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 21. This month’s painting is a Saint Patrick’s Day owl. Cost is $20. To make a reservation, call the center at 724-872-4976.
