Washabaugh – 60 years

Robert G. and Audrey J. Washabaugh will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a dinner with their family.

Mr. and Mrs. Washabaugh were married July 25, 1959, in the parsonage of the Rev. Charles A. Gifford. Pastor Gifford also married their daughter, Robin and two of their sons, John and William.

Their children are Robin (Kenneth) Smith of Claysville, John (Rebecca) Washabaugh and Robert (Rebecca) Washabaugh, all of Canonsburg. Their son, William (Lori) Washabaugh, passed away in December 2003.

They have 10 grandchildren, Joshua and Chelsey Smith, John Jr., Edward, Andrew, Ashley, Samuel, William and Joseph Washabaugh, and Emily Anestis. They also have 10 great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Allen, Gabriella, Nia, Weston, Gracie, Kennedy and Conner Washabaugh, and Jacob, Kate and Nathan Anestis.

Mr. Washabaugh is a retired school bus driver for the Canon-McMillian School District and a retired farmer. He servered in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Washabaugh enjoyed her years as a travel guide for Friendly Folks Bus Tours and is a homemaker.

The couple raised produce and sold eggs on the Washabaugh Poultry Farm in Canonsburg.
