The interior of McMurray resident Darren DiCenso’s 1947 logging truck.

Darren DiCenso of McMurray drove his modified 1947 “cab over engine” Ford logging truck on Interstate 79 to the delight of passing motorists to get to Greene County Historical Society Museum in Waynesburg for its first annual Cruzin’ the Museum Car Show June 1. DiCenso’s artistic whimsy – spotted calfskin and hammered copper interior – and attention to mechanical detail brought him Best of Show from a field of more than 80 vehicles that included muscle cars, motorcycles, antique cruisers and even a classic passenger bus.

“The cab is original everything else has been modified and updated,” DiCenso said. “I shot 11 coats of paint on the truck to give it its antique patina look. Then followed up with unique items to accent the look. It took almost three years to complete.”
