Ryan A. Walters has been commissioned as an active duty second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after successfully completing the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at James Madison University. Walters earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in intelligence analysis and a minor in military science from the university. He will attend the field artillery basic officer leaders course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, followed by assignment to Fort Riley, Kansas. He is a 2015 graduate of McGuffey High School, and his parents are Andrew and Lori Walters of South Franklin Township.
