Kaylyn Kearney graduated summa cum laude from Waynesburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer security and forensics. She is a 2013 graduate of Trinity Area High School. She is the daughter of Rick and Sherry Kearney of Amity and granddaughter of Nancy Kearney of Washington.
Devan Doman of Carmichaels graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. She is a 2015 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School. Her parents are Bobby and Farrah Doman and Traci Doman. Her grandparents are Ed and Carolyn McIntire of Carmichaels and Patti and Bob Doman of Springhill, Fla.
John Allison, D.O., graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree on May 25. While at WVSOM, Allison received Silver Recognition for volunteer hours and was a member of the osteopathic honor society Psi Sigma Alpha and the scientific research honor society Sigma Xi. Allison earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Waynesburg University in 2015. He is a 2011 graduate of Fort Cherry High School. Allison is the son of Tim and Colleen Allison of Hickory. He plans to enter a family medicine residency at Cornerstone Care in Mt. Morris.
Samuel Romano Trapuzzano graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from West Virginia University. He is a son of Ben and Shawn Trapuzzano of Washington and a grandson of Beverly Romano and the late Sam Romano of Washington, and the late Ben and Elizabeth Trapuzzano of Washington. Trapuzzano was awarded the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, the WVU Chimes Honorary Society, Phi Sigma Theta Honor Society, Career Readiness Program, National Society for Collegiate Scholars and the Society of Collegiate Leadership & Achievement. The 2016 Trinity High School graduate also was a 2018 student assistant special teams coach and a 2019 assistant to the director of player personnel for WVU football. He received a merit-based scholarship and was awarded the Eugene P. Beard Sustainability Fellowship at Duquesne University, where he is attending the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business to pursue his master of business administration with a concentration in sustainable business practices.
Tritan Plute, son of Tim and Amy Plute of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Pittsburgh (this is his fourth consecutive time being named to the dean’s list.) A neuroscience/pre-med major with a minor in creative writing and chemistry and a certificate in medieval history, he is a member of numerous organizations. Tritan will spend his summer taking classes, conducting research, and volunteering at UPMC Presbyterian, where he earned an Ambassadorship. Tritan is a 2017 graduate of The Linsly School in Wheeling. His grandparents are George and Patty Molinaro of Washington.
Jenna Vito, daughter of Tony and Jennifer Vito of Bentleyville, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 term at West Virginia University, where she is studying chemical engineering. A 2018 graduate of Bentworth High School, she is a member of the Honors College Society of Women Engineers and was on the President’s List at WVU. Her grandparents are Carol Vito of Bentleyville and Barbara Nicolaus of Richeyville.
